2 Questions

Hello,im new here
Im really good with computers,and enjoyed playing CS with mates,
so i downloaded it at home
I got the XTCS.Counter-Strike.1.6 which said that it had bots..
Now im not totally sure,but bots are the CPU controlled players in single game?
Ive tried playing alone,but there's no bots..
Do i need to somehow enable them?
Another query is that when ive tried joining peoples' games,i get kicked out because it says my ping is too high,what does this mean?

your ping is the latency between the servers, try and play servers with pings under 90, did u buy this or download? minimum pings with downloaded versions are 260

oh ok.um,where does it say the server's ping?
i dwnloaded this copy.do you know much about bots?

If you hold down Tab while ingame it should show your kills, deaths, then your ping.
