You might be able to link it to a image or sound on your hard drive. The motd is a simple text and/or HTML document so if there is a code to find something on the hosts computer, load it to the client, and play/show it then it can be done. I'm not a HTML coder so I can't tell you any more than that or even where to look. I'd start with Google looking for HTML code.

Hi again,
Thank you ya I've been trying everything but can't find an answer. I can change the code so that the host computer can see the image and have intro music play etc. but cant get it so that anyone else on the network can see it. mainly because the link starts C: etc. so when other computers see that link and search C: it's not there because it's looking at their C: I don't know how to solve the problem or if it's even solvable with html because I can't find the answer haha. Oh well.

Ya, I've never worried about a motd with lan, we're all in the same room chatting so it's not really needed.
