Hi,
I am playing CS16, and relize that i have high latency in my game. The number in the "Ping" colum shows around 500 or above.
How to fix this? Sometime, i feel like it has something delays my game, it is slow or freeze for some secs.
I am using an ADSL2+ connection.

There is a misunderstood here.
Yesterday, when i was told that the genuie copy of 1.6 will work better, i have purchased and downloaded it directly from Steam, which costed $10. That is true. Therefore, i can connect to the servers and play normally. I do not use the illegal copy anymore, man, as i have PM you yesterday.
Please help me.

Hey, my bad, I didn't read my PM's until a few minutes ago.

If you have a router try connecting directly to your modem (sometimes routers cause connection issues). If that doesn't work try disabling your firewall to a couple minutes and running the game. If your ping lowers then you probably need to open some ports up.

I have heard alot about opening ports, but dont kow exactly how to do it? WOuld you guys please show me the steps that i need to do inorder to open ports up?
I quite don't understand what did you mean by connecting directly from the modem to the router and stuff, i am using a modem (or router, i don't know whether it is a modem or router) called: Dlink DSL-G604T for my ADSL 2+ connection. If you any of you uses this modem, that would be greate for me if you would show me how to open ports up.

One more problem, when Shooting in game, when i tried to zoom in (dun know what is the name of the gun, but if you buy it, you would press: B, 4, 4) the crosshair does not automatically change to speacial crosshair for sniper (i think B44 is a kind of sniper..

) Is that the problem of my CS skin? how to make the crosshair turn to special when you zoom in sniper guns?
