If you run a dedicated server on a spare computer around your house then yes your ping will be very good (probably less then 15-20) because it takes very little time for data to travel the 10 or whatever feet between the server and your computer. Other peoples ping will depend on how good of a computer is running the server and your internet connection

I'm not sure, I don't have enough experience running a dedicated server to tell you system requirements.
Changes are your internet connection isn't going to be able to handle more then a couple of players. You need a connection with a high upload rate. ISP's usually limit the upload on residential internet connections, especially a DSL connection

You just have to do it for the one. One will act as the server, and you play on the other two as normal

hey can't work. i downloaded the "AMX Mod X" but there was no installation setup or anything; only a folder called "addons". i don't know where to paste it. can you give me the direct link to the file/folder?
