Hello, My friend plays counter strike and he told me it was good and i want to play it but the problem is that i do not know how to start playing? where do i buy this game? how much does it cost? what is the latest version? what is it all about? and is it online multiplayer. please post someone! i really need help

Now let me get you this CLEAR!
Counter-Strike was a mod to Valve software's hit game Half-life. It has spwned sequels like Counter-Strike: Condition Zero and Counter-Strike: Source Final.
We play CS v1.6, what we like most!
It is a first-person shooter, team based online action game consisting the Terrorist and Counter-Terrorist teams. You pick a team, chose a character and off you go... right in the combat!!!
You can also add AI players called bots in the game just to test your skills.
And about getting it, I got it as a birthday present!!! Don't know 'bout it price or where you can get it!
And yes, it IS good! CZero was the #1 online action game once!

Counter-Strike - is the original
Condition Zero - came out a few years after counter-strike, has some changes, same concept
Source - is next release of the game, it a complete remake of the game from the ground up, its the same concept but just about everything else changed.

Its really what you prefer, Source is a modern game, Counter-Strike is old fashioned but people like the game play in it better. Look at some screenshots, search you tube for some game play videos, see what you like...

PS - create new threads, its keeps things in logical order.
