Unhappy

hello, i installed cs 1.6 recently on my computer. i have windows vista o.s. and my system requirements are sufficient to play the game. i have 4 gigs of ram. 320 b h.d.d. and and a compatible graphics card.
i have installed the game properly, but when i start the game, a message box pops up.. which says 'available memory less than 15mb!!!'.
can someone please explain what this means, and also how to solve this issue.
thanks in advance.

p.s. i have already tried uninstalling and reinstalling.

i also read in another thread about changing my compatability mode to run in xp sp2.. i tried it and the game started but got stuck at the first screen and was non responsive.. and remained non responsive until i had to terminate the program using the task manager.

Steam + Vista = no workie. It's a bug and neither company is fixing it.

I will find you the solution here so look for an edit in this post.

Disable Internet Download Manager via Task Manager (Press Ctrl + Alt + Del), however it seems to be more on the side of CS:S rather than 1.6, but it night work for you. If that doesn't show the IDM try looking on Google to see how to disable/delete it.
