I'm fairly new to running counter strike. I'm running windows 7 64-bit and the game crashes after I make any setting changes which isn't the biggest problem. After I load the game and select new game it loads the server and then crashes before the game starts. And the system is really buggy in OpenGL mode I was having to run the software renderer to make it work. That may just be due to the driver on my graphics card not that big a deal. I've completely remove the game and am looking for a new download. Any suggestions on where and installation tips? I couldn't even get the game to start without giving me a memory error but fixed that by changing the compatibility mode to XP SP2.
PC Specs AMD X2 2.2ghz Dual Core 4 gigs RAM 2 x 1gb ATI Radeon 4350 Graphics Card (Using Catalyst Center at the moment for control) Windows 7 64-bit professional (Latest update version) |

Why don't you try using Dedicated Server to create a server? Or use HldsUpdateTool? If you are trying to play online, you need to click "Find servers" instead of "New game".
I have heard the problem about the graphics thing. It should be fixed by running the game with these commands: -gl -w 720
