Tutorial for Higher FPS

I'm not sure where to post this but here I go:

First we'll start of by turning vsync off + increase performance(nVidia only)
To do this you:

>Right Click Desktop
> Properties
> settings
> advanced
> Under the tab of your video card
> Under OpenGL, select vertical sync - always off

Then on the Performance Tab
Simply just set everything to High Performance instead of quality.

Turn off your Antisotropic filtering and Antialising settings aswell!

Next do the following:

>Right Click My Computer
>Properties
>Advanced
>Under Performance click Settings
>Select for "Best Performance"
AFter that go to the 2nd tab which would be "advanced"
Under Virtual Memory click Change
Now: This depends on your ram.

The Initial size and the Maximum size should be set the same.
How? Like this:
Take your ram in bites, and multiply it by 0.3
For Example:

If you have 512MB of Ram, then it would 512000 x 0.003 = 1536
1536 would be your initial size and maximum size

Next are simply the cvars in-game, this will also help boost for FPS:

Right Click Counter-Strike (STEAM ONLY) then go to that launch settings thing. and type in:
-heapsize 256000,

mp_decals 0
cl_updaterate 101
cl_showfps 1
max_fps 101
cl_weather 0
mp_consistency 0
r_mmx 1

There's more but I forget them..Just writing this by memory..I don't play steam right now..I might again but ehh. I hope this helps though. but yeah, basically lower the quality of the textures..smoke whatever, but not to the point it looks like crap, -.- unless you really wanna push your performance.
