Cannot connect to game master server

I have played counter strike 1,6 without using my personly firewall. Because i couldnt connect to game master server if it was turned ON. And then i got virus. And now i cant play for my parents! So What can i do? Even the servers wont show up in the steam box. Its written that i could not connect to the game master server. What shal i do `? But Pliz help me if you guys can!!!!!

it might be. The first time you loaded the game Nortan should have prompted if you want to permit or block the program from sending or receeiving (or something) information. If you hit block then it might have.

I know for me each time norton will ask me what I want to do when I load the game and refresh the list the first time, each time minimizing the game and having me select permit, and no matter how many times i do this it keeps asking.

It worth looking into, but I cant say for sure its the firewall. Ive never gotten the message you said your getting. If all else fails try to reinstall the game and see if that helps
