OLD copy of CS, how do I update?
I want to begin playing Counter-Strike again, and I tried installing my old version 1.0 disk. After starting the program, I see no servers whatsoever. Is everyone running Source now?
Is there a way that I can update to 1.5 or 1.6 for free? I just want to play old school Counter-Strike like it was played before everything went to Steam. Thanks! |

It's not that everyone's playing Source, it's that everyone's on the Steam network, well most everyone. I would go and download the Steam installer and then put in your cd key you have. It will let you upgrade to 1.6 free and you will also have all the other games that were with that cd. I think Half-Life, TFC, maybe DoD, Op Force, and maybe a few others. Let us know if you need help activating the game.
