Unhappy problem with fps

Hi

I have got VGA GeForce 8400 M GT and installed the newest driver, forced off vertical synchronization but i still have 60 fps (fpx_max 101 in cfg) pls help me / tell me what i gotta do to have 100 fps

there is my CPU:

Sony VAIO VGN-FZ340E
Intel Centrino Core 2 Duo 2.00 GHz
3 GB RAM
GeForce 8400M GT 256 MB
Windows Vista Home Premium

I tried to play with default cfg and low fps models but it does't work

go in console and type fps_max 101

and this probably wont help you, but try to put developer 1

i still think you didnt really apply the vsync off tho, but thats just me.

I checked my synch many time and every time it's "Force off" developer 1 doesnt help, i typed fps_max 300 but it doesnt work too

Dude, I think your machine should be running 5 Counter-Strikes at the same time with fps 100

Try to turn vertical syncronization off in your Graphics Board properties (I think you already done that, if you did it, it's really weird that your fps is still @ 60)

Now something really important for LAN and Internet play: check you /cl_cmdrate, /cl_updaterate, /ex_interp and /rate

try these settings, they help in FPS:

cl_cmdrate 101 (higher is better, 100 is the max)
cl_updaterate 101 (higher is better, 100 is the max)
rate 20000-25000 (depends on your connection, test the max you can set it without getting choke/loss)
ex_interp 0.1 (i recommend you not to touch this settings and leave this as 0.1, but you can try it lower like 0.01 or 0.05, if you get better results with it lower)

Choke/loss will depend on the server too... to see it type "Net_graph 3". Some lame or laggy servers with bad configuration can cause Choke/Loss. Try to base your tests on a good and crowded server.

Go to cevo .com and go to the download section and download the CS:Source client cfg you will get better fps.
