next map via vote. NEED HELP

hi, im trying to set up my server to set next map by vote rathe then map rotation.
this is my first server that i am maintaining and any help would be greatly appreciated.

ya but i want it to do it automaticaly. i dont want to put it in at every round

Don't worry, that's just my signature.

Go to your server control panel, and locate your "mani_server.cfg" file (usually in the "/cstrike/cfg/" directory).

Scroll down almost half way to the heading "Module : Voting functionality"

Make sure "mani_voting" and "mani_vote_allow_end_of_map_vote" are both set to 1.

Also, I would suggest tinkering with the other settings of that section, to get the vote settings you would like. For example, set the time in minutes before the end of the map that the vote is started, how many maps you want included in the vote, etc.

sorry for bring a dead thread back to life.. im new to the server process as well, i am wondering about how to disable the extend map for 20 minutes in the mapvote on gg server. everytime i turn around the map vote comes up and someone hits 1 automatically and we extend the gun game 20 more minutes. really pointless. any thoughts on how to fix this. thanx. also any links that may help me as to config my server and a great how to will be awesome...

Skitzo,
Locate your mani_server.cfg file, located in the "/cstrike/cfg" directory. Almost half way down, in the voting section, you will see this:

// Defines the whether the a map can be extended
mani_vote_allow_extend 1

This should be set to zero instead of one.

Basically, you just have to play around with the settings in the mani_server.cfg file until you get what you want.
