What kind of weapon mod are you wanting to make? Are you going to do something new with the existing weapons (like have them spawn at places on the maps, or something like that, or add additional weapons).

Whichever way your going to go, if you don't have any programming experience then plan on it being a long and hard task, more so for the latter because if you are going to add weapons there isn't as many resources to aid to help you, and you have to learn a harder programming language and will be much more complicated and involved

I am wanting to create my own weapons mod as well, for CS:S. As in change the damage caused by scout or grenades and have say 5 slots that can be any mixture of grenades. I have had a very n00bie attempt through SDK but not surprisingly it didn't work.

Sounds swt. Like I wanna change the weapons, by increasing the damage and making them silenced etc. But the models can remain the same. But yeah some help would be much appreciated. What programs other than SDK and photoshop do you use? I really have no idea. If you have some instructions and some code it would be great. I did programming at uni, so should pick it up pretty quickly.
