getting online with used copy

hi there i just purchased a used copy of counter strike condition zero to get myself introduced to the world of counter strike, and my question is will I have any problems getting online or getting a steam account with a used copy? I dont know how the system works with accounts and cd keys and such, thanks in advance

Yes you will most likely run into problems if the CD-key was already registered. Just try it and find out.
