Ping..

Hey people, when im playing counter strike when i go on an english server my ping is like 50/60 when normally it would be 24/28, i have checked to see if i have a virus and i don't, i have also tried re-installing my modem drivers and still no effect, i am currently on 5.5mbps where as previously i was on 2mbps and the ping was fine, it was fine at first when i got ym new connection but over these past few weeks it has been round 50/60 and i do not know why it is doing this. I am not the only 1 that is expierencing this, a player in the clan i am in is having the same problem and there connection is higher than mine, anybody help us?

I'm guessing when you say you are having problems with "English" servers you are outside of the US joining servers either in the UK or in the US? Where are you located and where are the servers located that you're having a problem with?

I had a ping of about 400 or so once. Mostly because my roommate was downloading a super huge file, lol. But otherwise, yeah, occasionally I'll have an abnormally higher ping. Not abnormally high, it's just higher than usual for some reason or another. After while it goes back to what it's normally at.
