Procedure of setting up server done.few issues.

1.Download necessary files
- HLDSUpdateTool
- AMX Mod X

2.Install Server

a) First we need to create a New Folder, create this in C:\ with this name: HLDS.
b) Now open hldsupdatetool.exe and install them in D:\HLDS.
c) Now we most to create a shortcut at HldsUpdateTool.exe (from D:\HLDS – right click on icon and select ”Create Shortcut”)., now we has created a shortcut (she`s name is ” Shortcut to HldsUpdateTool.exe” ). Again right click on icon (but shortcut icon), select Propersties and at last word from Tagert we most to add next line: ”-command update -game cstrike -dir .” (without quotes but with .).
d) Now execute the Shortcut to HldsUpdateTool.exe and wait approximate 30 minutes at 1 hour (this download all file we need)
e) After download we heve the server, but now we most to install AMX Mod X for running good.

3.server.cfg

a) First go to D:\HLDS\cstrike and there create a new file ” New Text Document.txt”
b) Copy in this file next:

c) Now save, exit and rename file as: server.cfg

4. Installing AMX Mod X

a) After download AMX Mod X first most install them anywher.
b) After install he ask if we accept to run the installer, select yes, and now we click on Next button, select ”I Accept terms.” and click Next button, now we most select server type, we select ”Select mod directory” and press the Next button and now will appear a new window, first most select mod directory (we select D:\HLDS\cstrike), after at down of window most slect ”Custom game addon” there select ”Counter-Strike” and click Next button.
c) Now will appear a new window who ask ”The file libilist.gam couldn`t be found. Continue installations ?” we select yes.
d) Now we have installed AMX Mod X.

5. Start the server

a) We most go into D:\HLDS and right click on hlds, select Create shortcut
b) Now we have ” Shortcut to hlds.exe”, right click on this and at last word from target most add next line: Code:
-console -game cstrike -pingboost 3 +sys_ticrate 1000 +heapsize 250000 -port 27015 -autoupdate +secure +sport 27014 +ip IP +maxplayers no. player +map de_dust2
c) To start the server now we just make a duble cick on Shortcut to hlds.exe

That`s all !



now thats the procedure given by one of the members.I have followed through it and i have completed till last.Now does this method work for cs-cz? since i am playing cz and i require a server for it.
once i double click then a dos menu runs saying

now what? i have read another thread stating that if i want to become a admin i would have to go to amsmod directory and change couple of things which i couldnt exatly follow as to how should i write the files down there.and plus if my server is password protected then i will surely not want that.so help me out one by one step ways...
i wouldnt mind reading a thread which goes as slow as the above installation of server.....please request you all to guide me through..

Try adding in the shortcut launch options: Instead of -game cstrike, type -game cz

well i dint get you what u said..i should apply to which icon
i applied to the properties of czero.exe .....taeget file name was czero -game cstrike, type -game cz
so is this right or wrong?

i tired it.let me brief you guys what all exatly comes..

this is how the server when double clicked looks like
Start dedicated server
game (counter strike)
server name (test server)
map (de_dust2)
network (internet)
max players (6)
udp port (27015)
rcon password (123)

and then i get a error once i click start server
it says "couldnt allocate dedicated server IP port 27015

now what can i do .....okies once if i even get this started then what wil be the next move i mean if everything works
out smooth .I start the game in new multiplayer or server so that i can see my server or any of my friends can see it.
where should i join so that server is available to join in

and at times it doesnt come...now what to do ?
