Server Crashing / Hacked

Well the daily restart happens every 2 hours then.... besides the moving machine the support team said they are trying to fix it and i seriously do not believe then when you turn on sv_cheats 1 you can "destroy" a whole server as in even giving the support team a hard time trying to fix it.

Btw after you said the read only thing i have done it i always tried setting it read only trough ftp programs but i guess that didn't work...

It wouldn't work through FTP programs. I actually only started doing this after I moved to CS.com because it was the only company that allowed the ability to unrar files through their Control Panel. That's one of their best features if you ask me.

Anyway, if it's crashing every 2 hours, there IS a problem with it.

I know it's terrible to have to change IP's. I've gone through the pain of having to get my regulars back so I can empathize with what you're going through. However, if you want it fixed immediately, I'm afraid that would be the only solution to your problem. You may also want to change locations as opposed to just IP's.

I suggest Texas (if it's a US-based server). I have 2 servers there and it seems to provide a pretty good ping for everyone.

If i recall correctly these 2 servers are from texas 208.100.26.46 and 208.100.14.240 :P but ill keep that inmind incase they aren't in texas already

Servers can crash for other reasons. The crash might not really be a hack but someone just flooding the server. The trick is to find out who it was flooding then IP ban them. That will keep them from ever seeing the server thus them not being able to flood your server. The other common reason is CS.com closes you server once a week for about 10-20 minutes while they so maintenance on the machine and programs. This isn't likely the case if it happens often.

the 2 servers that crash every 2 hours are not crashed by crashing because they both die at EXACTLY the same time around the same time this is getting really really annoying....

Then I would suggest reinstalling your server to remove whatever mod you added to the server that could be causing this. I would also suggest updating your support ticket. There is no issue on our side that would cause your server to restart every two hours.

Sounds like it does this because of a map error, like trying to change to a map that isn't there. Make sure the rotation.txt is correct and the map names look like de_dust or cs_office. They do not need the .bsp on the end.
