All weapons have there ups and downs. It depends on the map and also if there is a mod. My suggestions are:
Standard (No Mod) T:Close range I like to use AK47 CT: I like to use M4A1. For Both I use P90 or Awp or scout. (Depends)
Deathmatch: IF they allow it practice using the AWP/scout because they can be useful at times.
