u may have to create a VDF, look in the addons and if this is a .exe called VDF Creator, use it to make a VDF for the game u are using Mani Mod on.
If u dont have a VDF Creator, then it might be that u dont have metamod installed. i would get the latest version of Mani Mod which comes with metamod. Install is again and it should work. *NOTE* the newest versions of Mani Mod dont need a VDF so there wont be a VDF Creator.exe
